Getting Green!
McDowell & Associates is "getting" green. We are striving, as a company, to be more aware of our surroundings and what impact we have on them. Here are some current procedures we have implemented over the past months to help reduce our carbon footprint: - We are now able to offer our clients electronic format options for reports.
- If traditional report copies, we ask how many copies are needed in lieu of providing too many and having extras just end up in someone's recycle bin.
- We are transitioning over to programmable thermostats and CFL light bulbs where applicable.
- We have begun to recycle paper, plastic, metal, glass and batteries in our offices.
We are also increasing the ways we can help our clients be more sustainable.
- Lauren Walter has passed the GBCI's requirements and is now a LEED AP. That is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional. She is always available to help you determine how LEED Certification or having a LEED Certifiable structure can be beneficial to your company.
- We are offering non-traditional report delivery formats and using email in lieu of fax transmissions when ever possible
