McDowell & Associates has extensive Geotechnical Engineering experience. We maintain a computerized index of every subsurface investigation made since 1978. The resulting database provides quick access to subsurface information throughout southeast Michigan and often allows for more cost effective solutions.

Our staff of highly experienced engineers routinely work on hundreds of geotechnical projects every year. We develop foundation recommendations for businesses, houses, bridges, shopping developments, residential subdivisions, building and house additions. We perform investigations to determine probable causes of foundation distress in buildings and homes. We perform geotechnical investigations, slope stability for sewers, tunnels and roadways.
